Hi! Karenmarie, yes just straight and at room temperature. I was fortunate to nurse at a hospital for 10 years where they were very opened minded to natural therapies( mind you they took long enough to realize mainstream drugs may work sometimes but with dreadful side effects). Honey was used for almost all skin conditions (and leeches as well!) Honey was used regularly for optical healing after surgery. Honey has healing properties I think we still aren't fully aware of. If I have been out and the room was full of smokers and get sore eyes I just lay back with a dropper and squeeze a drop in each eye and relax for 5, better still, do it right before turning off the light for the night.
