This is my first day of breaking my fast. I went 14 days; it seemed like most things were coming to the end of a stage and since I had no intention of doing a much longer fast, it's a good finishing point.

The skin on my face and neck is still very dry and shrivelled. However it is no longer reddened and sensitive. In some areas my skin is beginning to get flaky--small little flakes, not like a sunburn peeling off.

I think the pH explanation is the most logical. I'm sure I must have been way too acidic before starting the MC. Also, I think my skin was a lot less forgiving once I was detoxing. I did try a couple different lotions and they may have exacerbated the problem. One was a botanical dry skin cream with all-natural ingredients, but it was old. The other was a blend of grapeseed oil, vitamin e oil and a couple essential oils that I'd mixed up at home. It was after using the latter that my skin became reddened. I will try the coconut oil in a few days, but for now I feel I should just give my face a break from having anything except a bit of water on it.

This is my OJ day, but I've also had a couple of the lemon/blackstrap drinks that moreless recommends. I'm keeping my water intake up. Perhaps the baths are drying, but to me they make sense so I will continue those (some days I don't have one). I tried the AC vinegar enema. Do I need to be careful not to have them every day in case of harm to the bowels? I'm not really inclined to do it every day.

I'd love to hear more from other people who've had the dry skin problem on the Master-Cleanse and what they've done about it. Hmmm, guess I should check the archives.

Joelle
