You did post this information as FAQ and I agree with Pepe that your slant on the FAQ represents or perhaps misrepresents what has come to be accepted as the "optimal" protocol for the Master Cleanse.

Many people do not read the book, do not read any of the frequently asked questions, nor do they spend the time and read the hundreds of pages of this forum which does indicate that most people NEED the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) and the tea at night. So, it could be construed as conterproductive to highlight that the BOOK says something different than what the majority of people here have found to be true, that the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) and the tea are highly beneficial if not absolutely necessary.

I think that your argument that the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) & tea somehow exacerbate the detox process does not make sense since a persons body will detox relative to the amount of toxins being released. Moving them out faster is a proper and recommended way of dealing with the problem, it does not encourage heavier detoxing.

I cannot help but think too that Burroughs would have made adjustments too since in his time the levels of toxicity in his life were not as dire as they are now and that these times being what they are, there is a need to be more aggressive in body maintainence.

Certainly, on another hand, although what you are saying is truthful it does appear that you are encouraging an aspect to the process which many may want and will be attracted to but which would be more harmful than helpful. So I do appreciate Pepe broaching that subject in the way he did since the truth of the matter is that one way or another, the funk that is in, needs to come out. These forums on Curezone enable many to succeed by virtue of our ability to discuss and compare notes and reflect on what works and what does not, and the overall consensus is that the SWF & tea are pretty much an integral part of the Master Cleanse.

I do agree that you have every right to say that in your experience, this has worked for you but am not so sure that I feel it is appropriate to assume that it is the correct thing for everyone and to post it as FAQ. My opinion of course and like you, I am entitled to one...

Personally I like the SWF and the tea and after an extended fast did not have any problems with my body elimination or digestion. From my research in the archives it does not seem to be as prevelant a concern as those who have elimination problems on the cleanse. More than a few people venture into this cleanse without even having a properly functioning bowel. The book states you need to be having a minimum of one bowel movement per day and it is surprising the amount of people who just gloss over that gem of information, jump into the cleanse and days later are still waiting for a BM.

So, for those people and others who do not have what you obviously have going for you, the SWF and the tea is probably mandatory and I really in my heart of hearts would think that is what Burroughs would have told any of them. Your experience is the exception moreso than the rule and that is important I think for any of us to point out in view of the other facts that our intent is to help, not hurt, and that the majority of those doing the cleanse do need these inclusions...

Blessings on your healing path,
Zoe
