If only 5-10 mg of thiamine are absorbed, why are ultra-high levels of thiamine used for treating deficiencies? I'm talking about hundreds to a couple thousand milligrams of something like benfotiamine. Lonsdale and Marrs are the experts to consult with these types of questions.
