It is not that DW (distilled water) is not toxic (proton/acid donor, electron stealer) but it is less toxic then tap water.

The oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of distilled water is +300 millivolts (mV)

Tap water has an ORP of AT LEAST +650 mV

So distilled water is at least 50% less toxic/acid/proton rich than tap water.

An ORP meter is the best tool to find out about something if it is electron donor or electron stealer.

PH reading is useless. TOXIC Tap water is alkaline but it got at least +650 mV ORP reading.
