I was wondering if your thirst is related to the amount of salt you eat. I know that the body tries to protect itself from too much salt, (because your organs can be cooked from too much salt) and therefore the body retains more water in the system to dilute the salt. The brain sends signal to make you thirsty because you eat a lot of salt. This is just a thought. I am not a doctor
