I believe I may have exfoliative cheilitis caused from hot sauce burns. Ok to explain what happened about 5 or so years I, like an idiot, fell asleep while eating hot wings... I'm not kidding like I said I'm an idiot. Ever since my lips have been slowly peeling and now my lips have red patches, dry up quickly and are thinner than before. Both top and bottom lips are bad but the top is definitely worse. I've seen many doctors and all of them have basically told me I'm screwed. I'm not sure what I should do at this point besides changing my diet but I am not 100% that will fix it. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
