It might be worth just trying it to find out yourself. It is clear so you can put some onto your scar as frequently as you are able.

Potassium Iodide is contained in Lugols Iodine BTW, there is twice as much PI as Iodine 2:1 ratio.

I do not know what types of forms that it is sold as. If you can find a small amount of premixed then that might be worth trying before getting the parts necessary to make up some from PI crystals.

I have PI crystals which needs to be mixed with fairly warm distilled water in a pyrex/borosilicate container so that the crystals dissolve. A borosilicate glass mixing rod is helpful. I have all these items. I received 10 borosilicate beakers yesterday 4 of which were broken so I am awaiting a replacement early next week. Fingers crossed that they pack them better this time and mark the box with fragile which they did not on the order that I received.
