It's is very difficult to interpret pain from the gallbladder liver and bile ducts. There are also other condition that can mimic gallstone pain. Another indicator is the colour of your stool, whether its changed to a lighter brown and become more tan in hue. There is plenty to read on this site.

To answer your question; it is possible to remove Gallstones and similar protocols are used in Chinese hospitals. I would recommend that you follow the protocol to the letter and be prepared to carryout one or more follow-up liver flushes.
