Another Update: While the Methylcobalamin increases my heart rate too much (it might just be due to Niacin in the B Complex), the Hydroxocobalamin/Adenosylcobalamin increases my blood pressure too much (the dosage was much hugher at 2000 mcg istead of 500 mcg in the Methylcobalamin. The side effects of Hydroxocobalamin/Adenosylcobalamin can either be high or low blood pressure. It might be due to either my MTHFR or COMT gene mutations, too. I might try a Methylcobalamin B12 cream on my lips instead of taking the supplements. I'm not quite sure how to deal with this peculiar issue.

Try to avoid creams with avocado oil and citric acid (it's hard to find, but I read these ingredients in B12 creams aren't helpful for your lips).

I don't like the Niacin I see listed in the Methylcobalamin B12 cream I saw so I might try a Methyl-B-12-Spray on my lips that ca also be ingested. The Methyl is important because it saves a step in converting B12, which seems to be a problem for me. Because the Methylcobalamin B12 supplement by itself without the other B Complex ingredients (like B6) wasn't effective, I don't want to ingest that supplement. It was the supplements that you dissolve in your mouth, then ingest. I had trouble finding a Methylcobalamin B12 supplement that wasn't in liquid form or meant to totally ingest without dissolving in your mouth. Applying it directly to the lips may be key if ingestion is a problem. However, the Methyl B12 skin patch is another option.

Here's a Methyl B12 patch. It has Niacin, but only 10 mg instead of 50 mg. I don't know if this lesser amount can also increase my heart rate. Niacin in a multi-vitamin adds up with the Niacin in the B Complex supplement.

I tried both the Methylcobalamin and the Hydroxocobalamin/Adenosylcobalamin . The Methylcobalamin worked better on my lips. It may due to saving a step in converting B12 for absorption. I could probably stick with the Methylcobalamin supplements if I used one with 10mg of Niacin.
