Why doesn't it work well for you anymore?

Your mentality is the same as mine has been for a few years.

If you just want to go back to your routine, try aquaphor. It's thicker, and should last longer on your lips before rubbing off.

If you want to try something a bit different, try 'Gloves in a bottle' alongside aquaphor. GIAB gave me some good progress in the past. It forms a protective/invisible barrier over the lips which is ultimately what we're trying to do with the aquaphor/vaseline to manage the build up.

It didn't fully work for me but thought it was worth mentioning because I've tried a load of things and this was one of the first that was a bit better than aquaphor alone.
