Oh, and about the calcium and essential oils helping boost praziquantel effectiveness.... official medical scientific papers out there have reported that vitamin D3 and calcium supplements definitely do boost its efficacy... which makes sense because even though praziquantel's mechanism of action is still officially unknown, it's thought to screw up the calcium processing and overfill the worms' tissues with an overdose of calcium and starve its cells of the ability to make energy from nutrients. Vitamin D3 is cholecalciferol which is another readily available source of metabolizable calcium, so it makes sense to add vitamin D and calcium along with praziquantel. A fatty meal helps absorption of praziquantel, the bendazoles and vitamin D3 too, so I always take mine immediately after a meal with a high fat content.
One thing to note is don't take fenbendazole and triclabendazole at the same time. That has been found to hinder the absorption and effectiveness of both, so they need to be alternated in any regimen so that they don't interfere with each other. Also note that praziquantel, triclabendazole and pyrantel pamoate all at once was kinda rough on my liver.... I showed signs of liver overload and trauma as slight jaundice and light yellow clay stools for a couple days afterward, and I did expell a small number of what appeared to be fasciola hepatica liver flukes after the first round of triclabendazole but no more with subsequent doses, so I think I had only a few of those and got rid of them early enough that they didn't have much time to inflict a whole lot of damage. Thank goodness the liver is capable of regenerative healing of itself.
