I think you may be confusing Mimosa trees with “Sensitive Mimosa”, a ground-covering plant. They are very different plants, Thier leaves lust look very similarly shaped in design. Mimosa trees seed pods have some poisonous compounds in them and have even been fatal to livestock if eaten in large quantities.
