"sugar is poison" Dr Berg

i understand sooooo much more about human health after hanging with dr berg on youtube. its weird, too, because some things he says are the opposite of what i have thought and taught. i know he is right because of the rest of my experience. very little do we disagree and mostly its i think he is missing some info or one error starts multiplying in the train of logic and same with me perhaps. he has proved me wrong already about some things.

already doing a form of intermittent fasting (barefoots one meal a day plan) for many years now, im leaning heavily keto and dabbling in carnivore. if i eat just animal products then i dont get tired after eating and i feel energized and alert instead.

look at nature. when do we normally have Sugar available to us? in seasonal fruits and berries. and when we get them it is like a two week window out of the whole year. our chemistry and such is set up to handle the flood of Sugar being gorged upon when it is found. it takes the Sugar and stores it as fat for later use. makes perfect sense. but people have no sense and eat themselves to death today because we can have that fruit all the time and we make pure sugar and put that in other things so they taste good and we will gorge on them as well. we do this every day all day and never fast. the incredible amount of insulin the pancreas has to pump out creates insulin resistance. overproduction of insulin breaks the system.

one of the things dr berg misses, i think, is the roll Iodine plays in insulin resistance. he knows the importance of Iodine but his focus is on the thyroid. i have seen insulin dependent diabetes in a 40 year old woman reverse over night (literally) and never come back simply with the administration of 100mg of Lugols every day. Iodine is necessary for hormone reception in the body. lack of iodine just makes the pancreas pump out even more insulin to try to get to the receptor.

ketosis feels good. dr hays said it in the twenties - dont mix your proteins with sugar.
