He changed the subject coz proving Jesus' deity goes halfway to proving the Trinity. You then only hafta prove the deity & personality of the Holy Spirit to clinch the deal. He can't allow that to happen, so his 'safety net' is to deny the plenary authority of Scripture, which of course makes it impossible to prove anything.

When you dictate the rules of the debate, the outcome will always be the result you want.
