Ed: I believe the bible contains a lot of truth and much of it resonates as such, but these kinds of double standards as well as attrocities ascribed against God's character are the reason why i don't trust these books written by men over what i feel God speaks directly into my heart.

Me: What do you consider to be God directly speaking to your heart?
