Are you talking seriously about 5g, which is close to a teaspoon of dry potassium Iodide powder per day?

remember, there's grams -
and milli-grams
and micro-grams
1 gram = 1000 milligrams = 1,000,000 micrograms

Try searching for posts on borax (boron) in the Iodine VWT forum here on CZ, it's often the cofactor that helps give Iodine that extra punch .
