The BBC is funded exclusively by public subscription (aka the licence fee) and overseas sales of content. As for political bias, they receive roughly the same number of complaints from both major parties. That speaks to a roughly balanced coverage, does it not? But whatever their perceived failings, refusing to give airtime to fairy stories is not one of them.
