That's a real problem! Have you had any injuries or have you taken any medicine, even for some other diseases, not connected with a head? That may be a form of ADHD or the early symptoms of dementia. Have you tried cognitive enhancement therapy?  Did you consult a specialist or did any tests? I suppose that in your case, the stress could be a trigger of your state or even some mental commotion. Only a specialist can indicate the reason and prescribe the treatment, so do not self-medicate.
