I am sorry you are having problems that have landed you here... I think You are in good company though...
In some of the back posts there are some threads and pics including jellyfish and hydra.
In my humble opinion they can be salt or fresh or brackish water and adapt to most any environment where there's food for them. Besides swimming in Springs and Rivers and Beaches around Florida, I've even thought maybe I caught something from when I kept a large aquarium. Every month a new specimen(fish of the month club) and also more than a few big goldfish won at the Carnival. Who knows???
