This is awful ... a 1 day old baby with aural myiasis (later identified as blowflies or bluebottle). If a baby can be BORN with it, then pretty much anybody could end up with it!

Treatment began with a Turpentine oil instillation and on cottonballs... then parenteral Ampicillin and Cefotaxime, then Ofloxacin ear drops....

Be careful about Turpentine strengths if you try any of that. There are some good Turpentine info videos out there...
