My experience is different. Hair shedding before Iodine supplement; I was hypo thyroid. Since then no problem 10 years into iodine/lugols in high dosages (now maintenance 150 mg two-three times a week) B vitamins are important though so are selenium. Diet, zinc, magnesium has their say as well.
