Hi everyone, can I please get your thoughts regarding Iodine and Hair shedding?

I have a healthy thyroid and no Iodine deficiency but been supplementing with potassium Iodide as I read it would help with hair health and thickening hair, as I’d besn experiencing some thinning.

But after a few weeks of 130mg potassium Iodide (one tablet) a day my hair began to shed exponentially.

I then stopped this and the hair shed slowed. I started using Lugols Iodine instead and again Hair began to shed again even after stopping after only a few days of supplementing with it, my hair is still shedding badly and it’s been over a week.


Can you please tell me if you have experienced hair shedding and whether it reversed after seizing iodine supplementation?
