I'm new to Curezone. I've been researching the work of Dr. David Derry & Dr. Jonathan Wright and I understand that Lugol's Iodine and/or SSKI has the capabilities of flattening a keloid scar down to a normal scar and regenerate healthy human tissue (where the the skin is abnormal). I've been rubbing Lugol's Idoine 5% into my two keloids on my chest area and they have both turned black, almost like a chemical burn. I have not been mixing the Lugol's 50/50 with DMSO as suggested by Dr. Wright...Anyway, I'm a bit concerned that I've made the situation quite a bit worse, trying to make it better. The scars on Dr. Derry's subjects, in his research paper, turned white. Mine are not turning white, but black. I do have hair growing out of the keloid though...something which has never happened. They typically have the consistency of rubbery skin. The rubbery skin texture is still there, but there are tiny hairs growing out of some spots now. Btw, I have stopped application for the past day. Anyone have successful experiences removing keloids/hypertrophic scars with iodine? How did it go? Does it get better? Did the scar turn any colors (black) before it got better? Any suggestions would be really encouraging right now. Thanks for any advice.
Here are links to the research paper, which I'm sure many of you have seen before:
