I’ve been trying to research a bit further into this and in doing so I’ve seen your name quite a bit around this forum, so perhaps you could assist me further?

Is it possible if my Iodine levels were already quite high that it would’ve been enough to cause a reaction? I noticed I also got heart palpitations and a tight feeling in my throat/chest.

Without boring you with my life story, someone suggested to me that I may have hypothyroid after trying for a months of diet and exercise and being unable to lose weight. I’ve always had issues losing weight to the point of having to nearly starve myself to see results. I decided to read a bit further and noticed that I had a few symptoms of Iodine and selenium deficiency. I have not been checked by a doctor.

Four days after taking a combination of the two I noticed, without any further change to diet (I did not exercise either) my weight stabilized and I actually went down the pesky two pounds that during the months prior I had been yo-yoing (plus two additional pounds, and also was not gaining weight back throughout the day as I usually would). I considered it to be a coincidence but wanted to keep going, but when my eye swelled I stopped altogether. The weight has also come back on. Now you said you don’t believe 300mcg would be Iodine supplementation, so in your opinion would the weight loss be a coincidence? Note that I’m not doing this as a weight loss cure; I wanted to try this and told myself if I saw results that could mean I did, indeed, have a thyroid issue.

Thanks to you or anyone who takes the time to read and respond.
