Yes, old one for Lanomax. This is the original study by Kang Zhang (2015).
And the other one by Makley et al is already old too (2015). It found that other sterols, notably oxysterols like 25OH-cholesterol, were also anticataract molecules. It provided the candidate compounds for development by the company, Vision Therapeutics. But Vision Therapeutics have said they might only "be able to slow the development of one type of cataract at best", which is not very encouraging for the millions who have advanced cataract right now (including myself).

The main reason why sterol eye drops may not work on advanced cataracts is because the lens is too stiff and hard for them to penetrate the fibers. Therefore, concurrent use of EV06 could solve this problem. You would use EV06 for 1 month, then Lanomax for 1 month, for example - and odds are that then, Lanomax would clear the cataracts out. But now EV06 is in the hands of Novartis, who seem to be in no hurry to bring sight to the blind - except by pushing surgery and lifelong presbyopia on a reluctant world which would rather have their eye drops to cure both cataract and presbyopia, if given the chance.
