First of all, you are brave to consider helping your mom with her illness and using fasting.

You have come to right decision, but if she cannot quit smoking it is futile to fast. Here is what she can do to get herself back to a healthy state.

1. Wean off of meds slowly.
2. Stop smoking with help of some herbs, such as Stevia, Noni, and a product called Just-Stop.
3. Eat raw fruits and vegetable diet. No processed foods, Sugar and meats.
4. After completely off of meds and cigarettes, do colon cleanse, kidney cleanse and then liver flush.
5. After cleansing do a fast with water only.

Patience is needed for someone with addictions and not willing to change.
