you missed what mike said. he chose LOTS of iodine. so did i, and all these years later i still take almost a gram of Iodide a day. no thyroid problems at all - cured of wilsons thyroid syndrome in fact and normal blood work every year like clockwork. so the FDAs RDA is not a one siz fits all determination. mike is right about sloan, too. hes got the nuts on some things but he misses big time on Iodine and hes an a**hole. but if youre gonna low dose, he is probably your guy.
