My solution for this problem ( to reduce redness, intense itching, dries blisters and reduces pain)is to wash ( soak up to two minutes) your hands with salty water ( iodised best) or seawater( if able ) then follow up with cortisone based cream. Sometimes I have left wet salt on affected areas which stings for a few minutes then relief follows. Hope this helps.
