My doctor advised me to do coffee enemas as my detox pathways are clogged making treatment for heavy metal poisoning and Lyme difficult as my body can’t clear stuff. I did coffee enemas 5 times over 8 days - the last 3 consecutively and felt a huge improvement in mental clarity and energy until the last one. With the last one I thought I had evacuated it all so went out. 3hrs later and an hour after a meal I felt the urge to evacuate bowels again accompanied by cramps - on evacuating bowels i smelt coffee so maybe I had not previously evacuated it all. For the last three days I have had cramps and pain and urgent evacuation of thin poorly formed super soft broken up stools (diahhrea) passed urgently and once evacuation starts I cannot stop. It’s possible I may just have eaten something’s my bad but others who ate the same are fine. When I read about the side effects of coffee enemas it talks of becoming dependent- but that is not my problem - rather the other way. Please advise. I have stopped coffee enemas for now but feel rough and want to try again - I’m just loathe to upset an already temperamental gut (which it wasn’t until 3 days ago).
