I need a better smile. I had silver Amalgam fillings on my right front tooth a month ago. I don't like them because it doesn't match the color of my teeth. Since it is the front teeth, the silver color of the filling is noticeable whenever I smile and talk. This has made me feel less confident about my smile. After using this filling, my teeth have become sensitive to both hot and cold food items. When I reported this to my dentist, he said that it will subside in a few weeks. But I am still having the sensitivity to hot and cold food. And I am not all comfortable with the Amalgam filling. So I googled to get a solution from this. I read a blog related to Porcelain Inlay/Onlay. Inlays and Onlays are two methods for restoring normal tooth structure after decay or other damage. An inlay is usually an indirect restoration (filling) consisting of a solid substance fitted to a cavity in a tooth and cemented into place. An onlay is the same as an inlay, except that it incorporates a replacement for a tooth cusp by covering the area where the missing cusp would be. The main advantage of them is that they look just like the natural teeth. I am really impressed with the blog and I want to have porcelain inlay/onlay to be done on my teeth. When I discussed this with my friend, she suggested undergoing the procedure from a dental clinic in Toronto ( http://dentalcaretoronto.com/ ). I took an appointment from the clinic for tomorrow. Is there anyone here who is familiar with this procedure? Please share the details of the procedure. Thank you!
