Very simple. You activate your digestive system by putting any food in your mouth. It is not a good idea when fasting, because when your body thinks food is coming in and then it does not, so if you continue, the body rob itself to compensate from the nutritional reserves and eventually leads to starvation. You don’t want to activate one system when it is in fat burning and cleaning mode.
