All the doctors I've seen were of little or no help in my situation. They like to make you out to be crazy when they don't have the answers or don't know what to do for you. That's been my experience anyway. Hard to say for sure could be bacteria related too what part of the US were you in? Maybe you expelled what you thought it was already. I know what I have is highly infectious and contagious and it sounds the same with your situation too.
