Hello all,

I normally post on the parasite forums, but today I wanted to see if I could get some insight from IBS sufferers.
I have been studying and researching parasitic and immunological problems of the bowel for a LONG TIME. I have even set-up a lab in the past to conduct research of my own issues, and that of many others.

I have concluded long ago, the root cause of many problems existing with myself, and others regarding chronic health issues.

I have studied the water-mold parasite called B. Hominis. Although it is mostly a nuisance parasite, I and many others carry it. It is difficult to say with any certainty that it is a lead cause of bowel irritation (and other non-acute and sub-clinical problems), but I am confident it accounts for a large percentage of these problems.

The main conclusions I have drawn, is this bug has so many forms and presentations, that little real Science exists to cover it in any helpful detail. I would say if there is more information on this bug, then it is being purposely held back from general medical scrutiny.

In my opinion, I believe this parasite might be able to genetically adapt to a host and stay permanently.
The human strains which are categorized in the ST 1-9 strain, are capable of making polyketide synthases, non-ribosomal peptides, TNF-a, INF-y, GM-CSF, IL-12, IL-8, and can make proteases to split SIgA and IgA antibodies.

In other words, it can do many of the same things our own cells do, and more.

It is unknown (assumptive) any real effective prophylaxis exists, which can rid the body of this parasite permanently.

I have discovered strategies for a cure, but it takes pharmacological technique to bring about a treatment program, and requires trial studies in animals.

I can only hypothesize that a main side reaction would initiate immunopathology dangerous to the host, given the introduction of modified antibodies and other factors that could alter the stealth surface glyco-antigens on the parasite and the many phenotype(s) connected with the multiple stages of this parasite.

The best way to described the pathology of this bug, is to call it a yeast. It is basically a type of fungus (wild-type fungal stage only produces hyphea of 3-5 sections) which can mutate under certain conditions to produce amoebae, which microscopically resemble and act like granulocytes, and can move within the body. I have created pictures and video of this.
I have even seen evidence of spores being carried in certain WBC's. So it can be intracellular and extracellular in spore stages. I am also tempted to conclude there are mitochondrial genetic elements of plasmodium spp. based on PCR findings, but don't hold me to this.

So......anyone who cares to share what supplements, regimes, and lifestyle changes that have greatly benefited the status of their digestive disorders, I would be glad to here of it!
