Hey Tranquil,
How is it going?
Just finishing day 3: tongue coated in white film, tired, sore all over, I still managed to do a couple of kms pace-walking with my dog.

I felt waves of pessimism today, mingled with grieving at "loss" of eating rights, and fear at the chasm of time opening up in front of me, unpalliated by the simple pleasure and distraction of food preparation and eating.

You know what I do, and what I think is going to get me through (because I am truly, unwaveringly determined to go through to finding my true hunger (whether this takes 45 or 65 days, losing ALL my fat lining my viscera and hanging in unsightly curves around my back, man-boobs (ughr) and bum), what i do is immediately focus on my breathing.

When walking, this is easy, as walking releases endorphins and makes it easy for one to focus: just focus on the present moment, be entirely present to yourself as your feet make alternating contact with ground and then the air, as they swing forward for the next step; or attend to the breathing: this has the wonderful effect of taking the mind off what the amygdala perceives as a threat to your survival (the negative, pessimistic, fearful, grieving thoughts), lowers the stress hormones and makes you feel simply happier and content with the moment.

VERY, VERY POWERFUL practice: if you are not already making this your daily "meat and drink", I advise you strongly to look into it (I can give you references to resources if you need them)
