Please refer to the top of this document where it says:
✰ Are you allergic to iodine? Do the Iodine Spot Test before taking iodine. Allergies to Iodine are extremely rare.

It is possible that you have allergy issues with iodine. Have you done the skin test prior to starting iodine?
What were your results of the skin test?
