T. whipplei bacteria causes an intense, insane sweet tooth craving I'm assuming the bacteria thrives off of the Sugar and probably makes the infection worse and spreads more. I have the same issue and I was never a sweets person ever now I find myself gorging on junk and sweets I can't fight it no matter how hard I try. I try to stick with coconut water and Gatorade for Sugar and electrolytes.
