Harry Potter now attends the now famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The ruling body of wizardry is the Ministry of Magic. All other people are muggles and are portrayed as being very boring and normal where as witches and wizards are portrayed as very exciting and magical.

There is an excitement to the books that attracts children and adults. There is a dark side to within the books.

Rowling herself admitted that she researched the occult to gather information for the books when she wrote Harry Potter.
