Go see a lyme literate doctor. See one thag will prescribe an anti parasitic also. Taking both will help. Not just a doc wbo prescribes Antibiotics . contact your states lyme association to get a referral. Have your dog trated by a vet for Lyme. it is possible you were both bit by the same vector. Lyme is transmitted by more than ticks. It has been found in other insects. Good luck
