It's like a huge boat : you can't have it turning around in a small river, or with a square angle when running at full speed I reckon...They have their jobs, their usual concerns, their money to save, their time to spend on leisure, rest, family and so on..
Researches are to understand how it works, to get a degree, a more reknown diploma for instance. Seachers are not directly facing the problem and its pain for themselves too...And they would need grants, or a budget to go further. Hard to get probably.

Cataracts' surgery is a profitable business so far, but too lots of money have been invested in expensive computerized machines to help surgery and make it more precise and reliable, to develop more sophisticated implants and so on... Possibly people would go bankrupt if it all stopped within 2 weeks I guess.

Is it the money it costs, or any other reason that makes you postpone or dislike surgery, any medical reason that makes it a problem ?
