I realize this thread has been dead for a LONG time, but I saw it and had to comment.

I am experiencing the exact same thing as you. Healthy young guy overall, been drinking a ton of distilled water for health benefits but am beginning to experience this kidney and flank pain.

It sucks because otherwise the water has been great. Good for my skin, very hyrdrating, easier to stay lean, and other benefits.

But it gives me this kidney pain and sometimes heartburn-like symptoms that are just kind of rough.

I'm going to a doc soon to ask about it. If you've uncovered anything, or solved this problem for yourself, please let me know!
