Dr. Jeff,

I recently experienced excruciating knee pain... it felt like something (perhaps a tendon or ligament?) was out of place. The pain was so severe and acute; I had to call 911 for help. I had had similar cramps in my knees before but not as painful as this one. The EMT person said it was probably due to dehydration. Would you agree with that or do you think it was likely something else? I'm 59 years old. Thank you!
