The only reason he managed to beat it is because he changed his approach and used things which are not yeast specific IMO.
Candida usually sets up home in the stomach with a bacteria and from there is spreads. Beating the biofilm from where it spreads needs multiple things such as enzymes, quorum sensing inhibitors and efflux pump inhibitors would be helpful.
Have you checked your stomach function? Does your stomach produce stomach acid? A simple test with sodium bicarb can provide an indication.
