You need saturated fats.
Try ghee, regular butter, raw butter, coconut oil, coconut cream, raw coconut cream, whipped cream, all meat fats like beef tallow, duck fat, possibly pork fat (but maybe not good since you're blood type O), maybe red palm oil.
Add more salt into your diet to support adrenals.
If you're not too dried out start on some sort of clay like bentonite, montmorillonite, or illite.
Food is best but I think if you zeroed in on a very good mineral supplement it could help you repair some of the lipoic acid redistribution damage. You want these in glycinate form: calcium (optional), magnesium (very important), zinc (not sure if it needs to be a chelate), manganese, molybdenum, vit. C if tolerated, spaced 4x per day, and maybe a tiny bit of selenium if it doesn't aggravate symptoms.

But since you're in a very precarious position now you need to be super duper hydrated first. Heavily salt all of your foods for a while. When you are naturally drinking about 3 liters of fluid per day (not necessarily water), then start saunas - very slow.
Just 5 minutes or so at first to test out that it is not making things worse. Increase amount of time slowly. This will help to get rid of whatever metals are bouncing around.
Also consider DMPS to mop things up, even though you had a bad experience with ALA. DMPS is more of a binder. In fact Dr. Shade wrote an article that ALA is not in fact a chelator.
Try also just following your gut next time you got to market, get whatever looks best. When people are so imbalanced like this your best source of information is internal, and you might be surprised that something will agree with you even though experts x,y, and z all have proved that it can't be so.
Maybe try kombucha, nettle tea, yellow squash, blueberries, hydrogen peroxide baths (diluted of course).
