1. March 2017: My brother had really bad chest pain on the elliptical at the gym. He said the elliptical was on the highest resistance setting and got off immediately. A few days later, his blood pressure began to rise to about 160/80 with a pulse of 130+. He says the rapid heart rate was very scary. Additional symptoms were left arm pain, numbness in the fingers, nausea, a feeling of despair/the world is going to end, and a few others. It all pointed to a heart attack so I took him to the ER (twice).

The first time was just an EKG, echocardiogram, and blood work. All came back negative. Despite being "tachy"he didn't have high troponin levels. The only concerns were high cholesterol and high levels of white blood cells. Within a week, he was back in the ER with the same symptoms. This time they performed a CAT scan and it also came back negative.

Before taking him to the ER, I did give him Belladonna and valerian root to try to control his heart rate and blood pressure and they really helped him sleep. He also took Benadryl.

He saw a cardiologist in late April, who unfortunately only saw him for 5 mins before determining that his heart was fine. I really don't trust this guy, despite him being a faculty member at Columbia University. He literally asked my brother to push his arms against his and that was about it. It looks like he had decided this was likely a muscle or nerve issue. He referred my brother to an osteopath.

2. February-March 2017 / April 2017 / May 2017: Before going to the gym, he was exercising on an elliptical in our garage. We didn't know it at the time, but the garage contained mice, both alive and dead, with feces hidden by insulation (we don't have drywall). I didn't find this out until I began cleaning out the garage one day in April.

From the pics and the article, it seems it was the white-footed mouse, which contain deer ticks that cause Lyme Disease. I live in North NJ, outside NYC, so we're at high risk of Lyme.

After the ER visit, I told him to take amoxicilin. He did this for about a week and then began having serious stomach issues. He had an ELISA test (not Western Blot) for Lyme Disease but it came back negative.

3. May 2017 - Present: His stomach issues include loss of appetite, difficulty swallowing, white tongue / oral thrush, belching, burping, gas, chest pain (looks to be from gas since chest feels better after burping). A few weeks ago, we went to a gastroenterologist, who performed an endoscopy (which didn't show any ulcers or burning or signs of GERD). He told him to take Prilosec to reduce his stomach acid and give his stomach time to get its lining back.

His body did not react well to Prilosec OTC. He took it for 6 days but on the 7th, he began having heart palpitations again.

I gave him Aloe Vera Juice (George's brand without any additives like citric acid ) but he had a bad allergic reaction, causing his throat to constrict.

His heart palpitations have largely gone away and now, they only come back when he gets gas. He feels better while taking Infant's Mylicon and Tummy Calm (homeopathic). His white tongue is still present.

Questions:
1. What do I do about his stomach? He can only eat bananas, carrots, and butter. He's down to 205 lbs from 230 lbs. I tried giving him raisin water but it gave him gas (sugar probably feeds the candida / other parasites). Other foods either give him gas or GERD like symptoms. At first, he was eating yogurt and potatoes but now he can't eat these simple foods.

2. Since his chest pains are alleviated by burping, can I rule out cardio issues? We have another appointment with a different cardiologist to make certain.

3. Should he get a Western Blot test and not rely on the ELISA test?

4. Is it possible he has a virus besides Lyme?
