freeagent thats not correct yes there isn't a universal treatment for ec which cures it but some people have had success with clearing their symptoms through treatments. We know there isn't alot but there is a small handful who have successfully cleared ec.

Regarding seeing a dermatologist yes you should definately begin seeing a derm BUT make sure you find a GOOD one! Just be sure to take in photos to show them when your lips are bad.

Regarding maintenance freeagent is correct maintaining the lips is crucial to having a better quality of life. Remember every persons body reacts differently to medications and treatments its about finding what works for you. A simple tip is keep the lips moist as this stops them from becoming infected and also relieves the inflammation aspect. If your a male try finding a good moisturiser which isn't so shinny on the lips.
