Eyyy fellow asian! I'm not a longtime poster here, I've only been here for a year and I've had EC for a year as well.

You might not like to hear what I have to say after a year of having this, but here are my thoughts. I really think that there is no cure so far for EC, much like other chronic conditions, especially something as rare as this. I do peel my lips every other day and they look somewhat normal, lines and all, but of course they're still inflamed. If I don't do these they will "scab" up, but unlike yours they are clear-colored instead. I also won't be able to go out because I would be conscious if I don't peel them. I make an effort to wake up early and give myself an extra 5-10 mins of peeling and have my day carry on as normal.

I'm really sorry you have this condition, and you seem young as well. I actually got this months after I had my braces removed which is weird. I'm 18 now, got this when I was 17 "out of nowhere" (was a lip picker/biter so idk if it contributed). and I'm at the age where I'm figuring out life plans, and EC has just changed things so much. I'm hopeful but at the same thing being realistic to this condition.

I just use bepanthen or burt's bees throughout the day, and the day before peeling I cake them with bag balm so they are easy to peel in the morning. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I may not be on as much, just checking from time to time because staying in this forum depresses me. I'd rather peel and enjoy my life than to be desperate for a cure 24/7. Stay strong!
