Losing weight doesn't = looking good. My wife told me I look like a skeleton in a garbage bag. She's also told me hugging me was like hugging a bag of metal ladles/utensils.

However I like the 105/70 BP, the under 200 cholesterol with over 100 HDL and near 50 LDL, I like being able to raid my son's closet for clothes, I like the way my bike runs with 80-90 lb less and so on.
The vanity and confidence from weight loss can be a motivator, but in my case it wasn't a factor atleast the first visit to 140. Now, I am trying to get motivated via vanity and the faked confidence.
To each person motivation is a special and personal thing.
Find yours and go get em.
