The plot thickens. Just out of curiosity are Strongyloides ridiculously tiny, bluish-black in color? I'm guessing yes, I'll be buying Albendazole tomorrow. The water is still not out of my ears either, so safe to say, things are looking down. The little bastards are everywhere, apparently they have all turned my nose into a night/day club. The absolutely insane thing is that I didn't take any steroids, and I am reasonably fit, yet here I sit with a potential disseminated infection. I guess this co-infection is what has helped the E. Vermicularis manage to hang in there for so long. Thanks ER Physicians, twenty minutes of conversation could have solved this months ago. Guess it's time to call in the only favor I have with a local doctor, and hope he just prescribes it.
Also, and I have no clue here, I have noticed these long approximately 3mm-5mm hair looking things too. They appeared to be moving, but not wanting to jump the gun I talked myself into believing they are pet hair. I showed one to my wife and she is feeling like it was moving on it's own. I looked at them under a jewelers loupe, and they appear to be larger on one end and taper down to a fine point on the other. Anyone have any ideas on this one?
Also can anyone that has beaten one of these infections with Valbenza and Horse Paste weigh in and let me know if it worked? I saw the drug regimen that ICU posted, just wondering in anyone has had success, I would feel a whole lot better if I knew I was on the right track here.
I say this only a little lightheartedly but would smoking cigarettes run them out of the sinuses? What if they were clove cigarettes, I'll stop grasping at straws now. This sucks.
