Hi ilove80s,

I just read your message about using Potassium Bicarbonate to alkalize. I've been experimenting with bicarbonates and researching them a bit too and I discovered that they have a whole Science in themselves. Apparently bicarbonates initially increase alkalization in the stomach and should be taken away from food, but then once food is ingested, it increases Hydrochloric Acid and pushes the bicarbonates into the blood stream, where you want them, and although this does not change the alkalinity of the blood, it does provide the blood with the arsenal it needs to combat an excess of acids such as gall stones, kidney stones, uric acid, and oxylates. It is very beneficial to ingest bicarbonates but caution is expressed on consuming sodium bicarbonate over a long period due to the sodium content. I am using Magnesium Bicarbonate (MOM) water now and feeling great on it.
